I have an older Milwaukee -1 drill that I make a point to use whenever I need to grab a drill for a quick task. I bought it from a guy a few years ago for $5 and he thought the batteries were toast and while they're on their way out, they're not gone just yet. It turns out the switch was toast, fortunately I had a NOS switch from when I used to fix power tools while working my way through college. It doesn't have the multi speed gearbox or huge battery pack of many new drills but it's very satisfying in the hand nonetheless. Milwaukee used to offer a 48-03- battery adapter that would allow the use of the newer (at the time) POWER-PLUS 14.4V pack on all the drills that used the SUPERTOUGH 12V packs as OEM. This was back when Atlas Copco owned Milwaukee and gave a damn about its customers and where the tools were manufactured vs. the planned obsolescence TTI has engineered into every product under its giant umbrella.
